The college initiated teaching of Computer Science Applications in 2002 with the introduction of BCA affiliated with the University of Kashmir. BCA is whole time, 3 year, programme after 12 years of schooling. The BCA programme was designed to generate manpower trained in the latest applications of computer technology. In the year 2017, the department introduced a 5 year integrated (BCA-MCA) course affiliated with the Cluster University, Srinagar. Additionally, the department is offering skill enhancement courses as one subject to the Non-BCA students of both Kashmir University as well as Cluster University.. Over the years Department has progressed at a rapid pace with its infrastructural facilities, advanced syllabi and proficient staff who are a part of various research and development activities.
